Time Flies....

Here are some pictures of Kayla and Ryan that I recently scanned and put on my computer. Looking at them makes me wonder where did the time go. They are growing up so fast!

Kayla & Ryan's FCAT Scores & Toothless

Okay, I'm a little behind on posting.....

Kayla and Ryan did fantastic on their FCAT test! Kayla got a 5 in reading and math and a 4.5 in writing. Ryan got 4's on everything. I am very proud of both of them. Kayla is going to be a Junior next year and will be taking AP classes as well as, dual enrollment. Ryan will be a Sophomore and will be taking pre-AP classes. THEY ARE SO SMART :) !


Cody had to have four, (yes, four!) of his teeth pulled. He has some crowding and we had to have them pulled to make room for his big teeth. We used to tease him saying he had the mouth of a shark, because he had two rows of teeth coming in. Anyways, he did great. He had the dentist laughing and didn't whine, complain or nothing. The dentist gave us 50% off because he was such a good patient!

Geocaching

We have discovered a new thing called geocaching. Geocaching is basically a high tech treasure hunting game played with your GPS enabled device. You use your GPS to find things that people have hidden. There are things hidden all over the world! Here is a slide show of some of the hunts we have been on over the past couple of weeks. Cody's FCAT Scores

The FCAT scores came back for Cody! He got a 4 in reading and a 3 in math. The highest score is a 5, so he did above average.

His teacher called me to tell me his scores and Ricky told Cody that evening. Cody hugged Ricky and started to cry. Ricky asked him, "Why are you crying?" Cody looked up at Ricky and said, " They are tears of joy! I am going to the 4th grade!"

All night, he kept high fiving everyone and singing, "I'm going to the 4th grade!"

I didn't realize how uptight he was about the FCAT test. I didn't think he gave it a second thought. But, obviously I was wrong! He was really concerned about passing the test. I really think its wrong to put that much stress on a 3rd grader over one test. If they don't pass it they don't pass the 3rd grade and that is crazy!

But, still I am very proud of him that he did so well. But we all knew he is smart!

Kayla and Ryan get their results next Thursday. I will keep you all posted.

It will be here before we know it and she will be going off to college.
